Our prof was telling us stories about things she's found in the book return of her public library. She also mentioned that the contractors had made the bookdrop large enough for a child to fit through it. Also, she said that someone put a firecracker through the drop and scared the bejeezes out of her.

I enjoy the surprise the librarian has in this strip upon finding a book in the bookdrop
