A young lord's home is burned to the ground and his father murdered. He and his only friend escape into the outlaw's forest, and swear revenge against their family's deaths. The lord, Talsin, grows up with one consuming thought in his mind and goes on an adventure to find the knight who killed his father.
Characters:
Talsin Blackhelm- a landless noble who seeks revenge
Gareth Cookson - Talsin's best friend, the only one he trusts
Eilysa Cutter - daughter of the outlaw chief, and sister-figure to the boys
Bennett- a failure of a mage, with a poor memory
This story is largely in its development stage, but I have written a few pages so far. I hope that it will become a story that explores the nature of good and evil, and what makes a person one or the other. There are no plans for a sequel, and it is far from completion.
