Characters:

Leila Sinclair
Our heroine. A girl from another world, drawn into this strange one and told she is to fulfill the promises made to the people.

Fynn
The mysterious Woodwalker. Legends say that he steals the souls of mortals for the Faerie Queen, condemning them to an endless life of servitude.

Clothis
A Dyrel soldier. A bit arrogant at first, she comes to love Leila as the others do and swears to protect her with her life.

Jakob
A Huryl soldier. He betrayed his king by helping Leila because he does not believe in the prophecies she is supposed to fulfill.

Will
A Huryl soldier. Lost in madness with brief moments of clarity, it is uncertain what fate brought Will to the desert where Leila and her friends found him.

Damaeon
Prince of the Dyrel. A scholarly ruler who was not meant to rule in times of war.

Cyrus
A Dyrel soldier. His life's ambition was to be part of the Dyrel prophecy, and help the Promised Child fulfill it. He became a soldier so he would have that chance, but his ultimate goal sometimes clouds his judgement.

Ruella
The Witch of the Wood. She roams the Spirit Wood, offering advice and assistance, but whom does she obey?

Ellena
A Sorceress. Little is known about the beautiful woman who only has eyes for Mattis.

Mattis
Commander of the Huryl army. He seeks victory at any cost.

Roric
A Huryl soldier, father of Jakob. His loyalty is first to his king, second to his family.

Cedrik
King of the Huryl. A vicious king who will stop at nothing to gain the power he feels he deserves.

Safyra
An elf. Sent by the Elven Queen to help Leila, she is calm and rational with a dry sense of humor that is rarely shown.

Samara
Princess of the Samran tribe. She is a captive of King Cedrik to ensure her tribe remains peaceful.
