Phoenix Fire

In a land where Magic and Science have always battled for dominance, the balance has been perverted. With the disappearance of the Phoenix, the bringer of magic, the world has become dominated by science as magic gradually fades.
The few magicians who remain, outcasts from society, fight to regain their proper place in the world and restore the balance by returning the Phoenix to the world. It becomes the task of four unlikely chosen ones to herald the Great Return, and prepare the world for the final battle between Magic and Science.
Characters:
Selina - an elf who makes her way in the world of science as a theif
Ezara - the princess of the Saki Empire, and heir to the throne
Gavin - a bitter shapeshifter who believe magic should rule the world
Otto - captain of the Trenarian guard, and a true believer in science
Originally two separate books, the two were joined together as a single novel. A third story was also started but not completed. My first serious fantasy story, this is one that I would consider submitting for publication.
