About Me
I have been writing stories since I learned how to write. Even before that, I have vivid memories of telling stories to my friends, family, and stuffed animals. I am constantly creating new characters and plot lines, and I used to joke with my friends that I have dozens of worlds existing in my mind. I wrote my first novel, called Ryla and Moon, when I was twelve years old, and I am currently revising it. Since then, I’ve completed three more novel-length stories and begun countless others. Unfortunately, school and work has limited the amount of time I have to write, but I try to develop my stories as much as possible when I can.
My education has served my passion well. I completed an Honours Bachelors of Arts degree in Classical Studies, where I read a great deal of ancient literature and history. This degree is what inspired my most recent project, loosely entitled The Theban Saga which begins with the novel King of Thebes. More about this saga can be read in the ‘Novels’ section of this web site.
As of yet, I have nothing published, although I did write a play that was performed at the University of Western Ontario’s Purple Shorts Festival in 2002. Truthfully, I am terrified my work will be rejected and I will loose confidence in my ability to write.
Currently, I am pursuing a Masters of Library Science degree, to be completed in the winter of 2005, and trying to overcome my fear of rejection. I hope that anyone who reads the stories on this web site is entertained by what they read. That is ultimately my goal in writing: to provide my readers with an escape from the everyday.
